Sunprints

Inspired by The Light Garden, LM and I tried out Sunprints yesterday.

I had done this as a child and totally forgotten about it.  Thanks for the reminder!  We had a great time looking for things to put on the paper.  It was totally hands-on, quick (and cool) results.  And even included water, which is a major plus for a three-year-old.

Cool Fabric and a Bib

Bib and Wipe Set

Check out this fun fabric from Jo-Ann's.  A friend is having a baby and doesn't know the sex, so I thought I would do something a little less "baby" and make something she might actually use.  One fabric quarter, terry cloth for the back of the bib, and a cloth diaper for the back of the wipe.  Oh, and a set of snaps.

It took me longer to rip out the top stitching that I messed up than it did to do the project.

Peace Within You

May today there be peace within you.

May you trust that you are exactly where you are meant to be.

May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith in yourself and others.

May you use the gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you.

May you be content with yourself just the way you are.

Let this knowledge settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love.

It is there for each and every one of us.

Nesting Part 2

BEFORE

The pantry before was driving me nuts. It actually doesn't look that bad in the photo, but, again, things had just been thrown in there, and some things needed to be tossed.

LOVE IT

Everything has a place

Nesting

Haven't posted in ages but have been busy. Here are is one of the "nesting" projects:

BEFORE
This photo of the laundry honestly doesn't capture the true mess of the room.

Things had just been thrown in, and I can't tell you how long that blue jacket on the dryer had been there.

Ah, Serenity
Seriously, I could just stand in this room when the rest of the house is a mess and feel much calmer.

LM and I sorted everything and put all "like" objects together.

Scrubbed the washer and dryer and swept the floor.
